Here’s what’s happening with us....

Did you know its closed on Sunday? We didn’t. As you can see from the first picture we knew what they do when they are closed. We have visited Georgetown before so it was no big deal. This is an area that floods very easy. Its around 6 inches above sea level. A little geocaching and a stop for some ice cream before heading back to the campsite. Also called my Mother. It’s her Birthday today!!

The Shenandoah Mountain Range and the Skyline Drive. This was the year we took a little detour and decided to try the Skyline Drive. Starting in Front Royal, Virginia it goes south for 105 miles. Our second night was spent in the Loft Mountain Campground. With the low 5c the heater actually came on……

Its hard to do work when one dog feels he needs to get cuddly. Of course I didn’t mind.

Camping at Rideau Acres in Kingston this weekend. A really nice park with lots of room. The Maintenance team really needs to do a better inspection between clients. Although our site was superb in every other way, it was full of cigarette butts.

On night two we captured a great  sunset.

One night three we caught a huge thunder and lightening storm. Very impressive!!!

Ben enjoying a drive around Robert Moses State Park. We had an excellent weekend here watching to boats sail by.

This weekend we are at Robert Moses State Park. We have been here before, but never t this riverside site. Lots of boat watching. They slow right down as the enter the locks.

Today we traveled to the Miami Everglades Resort, Also known as the Miami Everglades KOA when we fist started coming here over 15 years ago. Its a great camping area nestled in the middle of a agricultural area.

Things have certainly changed over the years. Take the WiFi for instance. When we first came here, WiFi was not even being used. You had to use one of 3 computers they had set up in Activity Hall. Next came the spotty and costly WiFi. Years later WiFi was free! This year its back to costly WiFi, or like 15 years ago you can use one of 2 computers in the Activity Hall.

We still love the place though!

The day started off by being a little warmer, Thank goodness. Stephanie and I decided to go and visit my Aunts and Uncles who winter in Lakeland, It was a great visit. Unfortunately both uncles were golfing, but we did have a  nice visit with Hugette, Sharon, and Nicole.

Next on the agenda, we wanted to visit one of our favorite spots. Disney Springs, formerly Downtown Disney. They are almost done the renovations. It going to look amazing!
